01 · WHO WE ARE

The studio, the people and the purpose

At Gleam Hair Studio, we believe beautiful hair begins with listening. We combine thoughtful consultations, precise technique and modern professional products to create color, cuts and styling that feel like you—and fit your everyday life.

Our salon opened in 2013 at 7301 SW 57th Court, Suite 140, in South Miami. Milaine Boyer purchased Gleam in December 2023, continuing the original salon name and location while shaping a guest-focused experience around advanced color artistry, personal relationships and a supportive team.

Owner-led, education-minded

Our owner, Milaine Boyer, is a master stylist, master colorist and balayage specialist with 17 years of experience working with hair. Raised in Ontario, Canada, by a mother working in beauty, she began experimenting with braids and assisting in salon environments early in life. After moving to Miami, she built her career in a new market and later became Gleam’s owner.

For Milaine and our team, hair is more than a finished style: it is a chance for guests to feel welcomed, confident and understood. We believe in ongoing education, setting realistic expectations and selecting stylists based on the work they actually perform. Our Team and Price List describe the people and services behind our approach.

Meet the Gleam team and explore our stylist-level pricing approach.

What makes our approach practical: we publish a stylist-level pricing guide, offer dedicated consultations when a service requires extra planning, and introduce guests to the team behind the work. Our styling and color choices are guided by a conversation about your natural hair, your daily routine and the result you want to maintain.
02 · SIGNATURE EXPERTISE

Hair color that feels like you

Color is personal. You might want brighter blonde, richer brunette, natural gray blending, vivid fashion color or a correction of previous color. We begin by learning your hair history, everyday routine and maintenance preferences before selecting a technique or formula.

Personalized all-over color

Root retouches, dimensional all-over color, tonal adjustments and glossing help create a consistent result or enhance a natural base. Our Hair Coloring Services page also describes the studio’s “No Color Gleam” philosophy—a polished, natural-looking gloss effect.

Our professional color systems

As a L’Oréal Professionnel concept salon, we work with iNOA ammonia-free permanent color, Majirel permanent color, Dia Color and Dia Light demi-permanent color, alongside Redken Shades EQ. The appropriate formula depends on your current hair, goals and the service selected; no product is suitable for everyone.

Our color menu also covers root touch-ups, all-over color, shadow roots, color melts, glosses, toners and color correction. Significant changes require a consultation, and we will not promise a specific blonde level, exact inspiration-photo match or result that could compromise hair health.

What you can discuss at a color appointment

Choosing the right color service

Our currently published online booking categories distinguish roots retouch, ammonia-free roots retouch, color melt / shadow root, toner / gloss, men’s color and all-over color. These services solve different problems. A roots retouch addresses new growth; a toner adjusts tone after lightening; a color melt helps soften or blend transitions. Your stylist can recommend the option that suits your starting color and maintenance goals.

For significant changes, select the color-correction consultation rather than guessing which technical appointment to book.

03 · COLOR ARTISTRY

Balayage, highlights and dimensional blonding

Our goal is dimensional color that looks beautiful now and grows out in a way that suits your lifestyle. Milaine offers signature open-air, hand-painted balayage, using airflow to separate finer strands before applying lightener for soft, diffused brightness. For a different effect, foil balayage combines freehand placement with foils and can create brighter, more defined results.

Full highlights are placed throughout the head for a more broadly lightened result. Partial highlights focus on the top, crown and face framing to add light while retaining more depth. We help you decide among open-air balayage, foil balayage, full or partial highlights, face-framing services and corrective work based on realistic lightening potential and your hair condition.

01

Evaluate

Starting color, condition, previous chemical services and the target look.

02

Plan

Placement, achievable lift, tone and whether multiple sessions may be needed.

03

Maintain

Color-care advice, timing of refresh appointments and at-home styling needs.

All blonding and color-correction appointments require a consultation. Your starting color, previous chemical services and overall hair health influence the plan; some goals take multiple sessions. Inspiration photos help us understand the look, but they are not a guarantee of identical results.

Clients who want a precise comparison can visit our Balayage & Highlights guide and balayage service menu. The published price list distinguishes partial/full highlights, partial/full balayage, face-framing and hourly blonding work.

If you have previous color, highlights or smoothing treatments, tell us during the consultation. Your hair’s history can influence how we plan lightening, the time needed and how many sessions are reasonable. Bring inspiration photographs, but expect the stylist to adapt the technique to your own starting point.

04 · HAIRCUTTING

Precision cuts, styling and finishing

A flattering haircut should work with the person wearing it. We consider shape, texture, density, face-framing preferences and daily styling habits so clients know what their cut will ask of them once they get home.

Our salon’s haircut page specifically says first-time haircut appointments include an additional ten minutes for consultation at no extra charge. That’s the kind of practical detail we want every guest to know before coming in.

Services listed by Gleam include women’s and men’s haircuts, fringe trims, barbering, blowouts, hot-tool finishing, updos and special-occasion styling. For occasions with a fixed schedule, please contact the salon early and confirm the exact service and timing.

Read about haircuts and the first-visit consultation · Explore styling and haircut options.

A haircut consultation is a chance to explain how you wear your hair at home, how often you style it, and the change you are comfortable making. Gleam’s published haircut information provides extra consultation time for first-time haircut guests.

Our haircut menu includes women’s cuts, pixie cuts, bang trims and men’s haircuts exclusively with Marouen. Styling choices include Classic Blowdry, Signature Blowdry (including heat styling), Luxury Blowdry (including a treatment), flat- or curling-iron styling and updos. Jorge also provides classic and signature makeup for special occasions. The team can help you book the appropriate specialist.

05 · LENGTH & FULLNESS

Extensions: fit, finish and maintenance

Extensions can bring added length or fullness, but a great blend starts with a personalized assessment of texture, color, placement and upkeep. For beautifully customized extensions, meet our specialists, Milaine Boyer and Jorge Abraham. Milaine is Bellami-certified, and Jorge is Conde-certified; each offers personalized guidance on the application methods, length, fullness and maintenance that suit your hair goals. Every extension service begins with a complimentary consultation, followed by a hair deposit before an installation appointment can be booked.

Milaine is Bellami-certified and works with Bellami wefts, tape-ins and K-tips. Jorge is Conde-certified and works with Conde wefts, tape-ins, K-tips and I-tips. They assess the natural hair and intended look before selecting the method and advising on maintenance and removal.

Extensions are not a one-time purchase; removal, adjustment and home care are part of the plan. We offer application and removal services, with re-taping or other maintenance discussed during consultation. We avoid promising that every attachment type will be appropriate for every guest.

Learn about hair extension services · See consultation and removal pricing details.

Consultation and aftercare

Extensions are an ongoing plan, not just an installation

We will explain how your extensions are applied, how to brush and maintain them, what products to avoid and when to return. A deposit for the extension hair is required before booking the installation appointment. The final recommendation and cost are established during consultation.

06 · HAIR HEALTH

Treatments, repair and smoothing

Healthy-looking color depends in part on the condition of the hair underneath it. Our salon offers professional conditioning, repair and texture services that can be discussed alongside a haircut or color appointment.

Strength & repair

K18 is used as part of care for hair affected by chemical, heat and mechanical damage. Milbon Professional Repair supports softness, conditioning and manageability, while Redken Acidic Bonding is a conditioning option for hair feeling weakened by chemical services. Product selection depends on individual hair needs.

Color-support services

Metal Detox is designed to help reduce the impact of metal particles in the hair during color services; L’Oréal Vitamino Color supports color care, shine and a smoother feel. Mythic Oil may be used for softness, shine and frizz control. These treatments support cosmetic haircare goals; they do not guarantee permanent structural repair.

Smoother finish

We offer keratin, express keratin, hair Botox and scalp-massage services. Suitability and aftercare depend on the treatment, product protocol and condition of your hair. Tell us about chemical treatments, fragility, sensitivity or pregnancy considerations before selecting a smoothing service; we may recommend a different option or postponement.

We also list a dedicated 20-minute scalp massage and deep-conditioning services. Product names are not a promise of a medical outcome or a permanent restoration of damaged hair.

Take-home haircare: Gleam also carries selected L’Oréal Professionnel, Pureology, Milbon and K18 products for purchase in the salon. Our stylists can explain which products fit your hair and the services you receive.

Current booking options include K18 Molecular Repair, Milbon Professional Repair, Metal Detox, conditioning treatments and a dedicated scalp massage. The treatment page explains the salon’s personalized approach. Treatments vary in purpose; a conditioning service, color-related metal removal and a smoothing treatment should not be presented as interchangeable.

08 · PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE

Why education, technique and consultation matter

Beautiful work is rarely accidental. Knowing when to use a soft balayage versus a more structured highlight, how to respond to previously processed hair, and when to advise a staged color plan are all matters of professional judgment.

Our published approach to service pricing explains that stylist levels reflect training, experience and demand. It describes an in-salon education program and continuing education for advanced stylists. The purpose is not to make every appointment identical—it is to support consistent professional standards while giving our artists room to personalize the result.

For clients, this means being clear about goals, booking the right service, understanding what the starting price includes and knowing when a separate consultation would be useful.

How Gleam organizes expertise: The salon explains that its stylist levels reflect experience, education and appointment demand, and that guests may work with different specialists during a visit. Read the published pricing and service philosophy for the full explanation.

10 · YOUR FIRST VISIT

What to expect and how to prepare

Whether you are coming for a trim, a major color change or extensions, knowing what happens next makes the process easier. Here is a simple guide based on our published services and policies.

01

Choose the right appointment

Every new guest receives consultation time. A separate consultation is required before blonding, color correction and extension applications. For extensions, we arrange the hair deposit before scheduling installation.

02

Bring your inspiration

Photos help—but so does a brief history of color, straightening, extensions or other treatments. Tell your stylist what you like, what you do not, and how much upkeep feels realistic.

03

Talk through the plan

We discuss your goals, hair history, maintenance routine and realistic service pricing. First-time haircut appointments include ten complimentary consultation minutes. Inspiration photos help guide the discussion, but identical results cannot be promised.

04

Enjoy your service

Your stylist may explain product selection, processing, finishing and any maintenance considerations. If you have sensitivities or allergies, tell the team before treatment.

05

Plan the next steps

Ask what is reasonable to achieve today, what may need another appointment, and when a trim, toner, extension maintenance or refresh might make sense.

06

Understand booking policies

Please cancel or reschedule more than 24 hours ahead to avoid a fee. Later cancellations carry a 50% service charge; no-shows are charged 100%. One late cancellation or no-show per year is waived as a courtesy. Arriving over 10 minutes late can require rescheduling; if the stylist can accommodate the appointment, a $25 time-adjustment fee applies. Read the complete policies.

New-client offer: The salon currently advertises $20 off a first visit of $120 or more when guests register their email. See current promotions for eligibility before booking.

If something isn’t right: Contact Gleam within seven days of your appointment about concerns with your result. Eligible concerns may be addressed with a complimentary adjustment under the salon’s published policy, which also explains its no-refund terms.

12 · PRACTICAL ANSWERS

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a consultation for color correction?

Yes. We include consultation time for new guests, and a separate consultation is required before any blonding, color-correction or extension installation service. Consultations are complimentary, but specific results and final prices are assessed individually.

How is partial balayage different from full balayage?

Partial highlights or balayage concentrate on selected areas such as the crown, top and face frame, while full highlights cover more of the head. Milaine also offers signature open-air hand-painted balayage, and other stylists offer foil balayage. Your consultation will establish the appropriate approach.

Can I choose a specific stylist?

Absolutely. For hair extensions, our specialists Milaine and Jorge can guide your consultation. For men’s haircuts, book with Marouen, and for professional makeup, Jorge is available. Our guest-care team can help you choose the right appointment.

How much will my appointment cost?

Pricing depends on stylist level, hair length, density, previous color and product needs. Verified examples: partial highlights from $159, partial balayage from $199 and face-framing highlights from $105, each excluding toner. A complimentary consultation does not guarantee a final cost. View current pricing.

Do you offer smoothing and hair treatments?

Yes, current menu categories include keratin services, hair Botox, conditioning, K18, Milbon Professional Repair, Metal Detox and other treatments. Suitability must be assessed with your stylist.

Where are you located and when are you open?

7301 SW 57th Court, Suite 140, South Miami. Tuesday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; closed Sunday and Monday.

Is there a first-time visitor promotion?

The website advertises $20 off the first visit when the service total reaches $120, with email registration required. Check the current offer terms before booking.

Can I book a consultation before changing my hair color?

Yes; new clients receive consultation time, and pre-service consultation is mandatory for blonding, color correction and extension installations. For extensions, a hair deposit is required before the installation is scheduled.

What happens if I need to cancel or am running late?

Please give more than 24 hours’ notice. Late cancellation fees are 50%; missed appointments without notice are 100%. One courtesy waiver is allowed per year. More than 10 minutes late may mean rescheduling, or a $25 time-adjustment fee if your stylist can still complete the service. Read the official policy.

Does Gleam have loyalty rewards?

Yes. The studio publishes a loyalty and referral program, with enrollment information and reward details on its own website.
