Balayage Highlights

Balayage

Balayage is the newest technique for a range of fabulous high light. However is not a new one for Carole Hakoun, owner of Gleam Hair Studio that has became an expert for more than 30 years in the Balayage technique/Hair highlighting. She was trained to it in France and the technique is rarely seen outside the best salons of Paris.

Carole was a trainer and artistic director, she is still a consultant in Paris. She has trained each stylist at Gleam Hair Studio to master the Balayage and Ombre technique.

Balayage is a French coloring technique that was developed in the 1970s. This is what makes Balayage different from foil highlights—the placement of color is guided by the natural movement of the hair.
With this technique of highlights you get a lot less maintenance, and it grows out a lot softer at the roots. Compared to regular highlights, balayage is a faster, healthier and more organic process for your hair.
Each highlight is painted there are no stripes. Balayage can be done on any base color because the effect is so natural, and low lights can be balayage too. Balayage can be used in even the shortest pixie crop.

Balayage and Balayage highlights are considered a specialty technique., it requires a good eye and a very steady hand and must be performed by an experienced hairdresser who has extensive knowledge of the technique.

Giving you the beautiful customized hair color you see on runways with something as simple as the stroke of a brush Gleam’s Team turns an ordinary head of hair into a mass of beachy highlights.
